Virtuocity Present and Exhibit at National Road Safety Conference

📍National Road Safety Conference, Wyboston Lakes, Bedfordshire UK | 4-5 November 2025

Virtuocity, represented by Programme Manager Pete Woodthorpe, Simulator Developer Hsuan Chao, Prof Samantha Jamson, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ruth Madigan and Senior Research Fellow Dr Ibrahim Ozturk exhibited and presented at the Road Safety GB organised National Road Safety Conference in Bedfordshire earlier in November. Delegates visiting the conference had the opportunity to visit our stand, speak with the team and experience some of our project work in action including a demonstration of our newly developed software on a portable simulator. Delegates also had the opportunity to sample examples of our VR experiments including FTM Nexus and Inclusive Public Spaces.

In addition to the exhibition Ruth and Ibrahim also presented their work

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ruth Madigan presented findings (titled: How to expect the unexpected: A driving simulator evaluation of hazard anticipation training for novice drivers) from the Road Safety Trust-funded project Enhancing Novice Drivers' Safety: Innovative Training to Improve Hazard Anticipation Skills.

Dr. İbrahim Öztürk talked about work on in-vehicle technologies, "An investigation of how drivers’ knowledge and use of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) varies between countries", from the Hi-Drive project.
